Operator: Launchdesk LLC. Contact: hello.launchdesk@gmail.com.
Gather stores your display name, profile identifier, and email addresses or phone numbers you verify; organizer-entered guest contact details; event details, typed locations, guest lists, invitations, RSVPs and attendance; event messages; bill amounts and payment/refund records; reports and blocks; and external tool links and handoff history. These records are transmitted to and stored by the Gather service operated for Launchdesk LLC. The app stores its service address and secret access token in the device’s secure storage. Recovery codes and access tokens are stored on the service as hashes, not as readable credentials. When code sign-in is enabled, Twilio Verify delivers and checks one-time email or SMS codes. Email delivery uses Twilio SendGrid. Gather stores short-lived verification requests, not the one-time codes themselves. These providers process the destination contact and delivery information under their own privacy and retention policies. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, Gather verifies the provider’s signed response and stores the provider name and stable account identifier. Google and Apple handle their own passwords; Gather never receives them. Sign-in requests expire after ten minutes. Identity tokens are used only for verification and are not retained. An Apple refresh token is encrypted and retained solely to disconnect Apple authorization when you delete your Gather account. A verified provider email may be used to prevent accidentally creating a second account; linking to an existing Gather account requires signing in to that account first.
The service processes network IP addresses in memory to limit repeated profile-creation and recovery attempts. Verification requests use salted hashes of IP addresses and contact details for persistent rate limits, with windows of up to 24 hours. Expired rate limits and verification requests are removed on subsequent code requests. Raw IP addresses and one-time codes are not written to the application database or application request logs. These controls support security, not advertising or location tracking.
Information supports event coordination, access control, settlement records, abuse review, and support. Event members can see event details, the guest list, and conversation. Organizers can see the invitation contacts they entered, attendance and settlement records. Other attendees do not receive guest email addresses or phone numbers; attendees receive their own payment records. Service operators and hosting providers process data needed to run and support the service. Reports are available to the service operator.
Gather has no advertising or tracking SDK and does not sell personal information. It does not request your contacts, precise device location, bank credentials, or card details. Information you type into event locations or messages can still be personal. Using Share or an external tool sends the selected information to that service under its own policies.
Event and profile records remain until removed through the app or by the operator in response to a verified request. Settings → Delete my profile deletes the profile, revokes all device sessions and recovery codes, revokes Apple authorization, removes its encrypted grant, and removes verified contacts, linked Google/Apple identifiers, and pending sign-in requests, removes contact details from linked guest entries and matching pending invitations, removes hosted events and authored messages, and removes linked reports and blocks. Shared bill entries become “Deleted member”; numeric charges and receipts remain for the other members’ records. Private receipt notes and method labels are removed from those entries. Other members’ independently authored content or exported copies are not automatically removed.
Backup retention: Cloudflare retains encrypted database recovery history for up to 30 days. Deleted records may remain in that recovery history until it expires. No separate application backups are retained.
Edit your display name in Settings, use report/block controls, or delete your profile in the app. Contact hello.launchdesk@gmail.com for access, correction, or deletion help. We may need information that establishes your relationship to the records. Do not send recovery codes or payment credentials.
